Born on the Isle of Wight in 1975, I grew up in Southampton and have made my way, via Reading and York, to beautiful Aberdeenshire in the North East of Scotland. I live in Kemnay with my wife and young son, who may appear in this blog from time to time.
Most of the content will be political, however. I have been a member of the Scottish Green Party since 2011 and was the first ever Green candidate in the West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine constituency in the 2015 General Election. I was also a candidate in 2012 and 2017 for the West Garioch ward of Aberdeenshire Council.
Outside of politics, my main interests are hillwalking, baking and football. I support Southampton and Ross County Football Clubs and also take an interest in Inverurie Loco Works. In May 2015 I became treasurer of Monymusk FC.
