Donald Trump, as we have seen first hand here in the north east of Scotland, lacks a number of key human qualities that are essential in a leader, whether of a nation, a free world or a pack.
Immigrants are welcome in my country. Immigrants are welcome in my community. I am an ordinary, decent person. Ordinary, decent people do not worry too much about which particular section of the earth's surface their neighbour hails from.
If there are any compelling reasons to leave the EU, they certainly haven't been put forward to me. In fact, none of the Brexit arguments stack up at all for me when any time is spent considering them.
In order to show compassion, one first has to have empathy. Empathy should be one of the qualities that sets humans apart. Without it, there is no humanity. This current "migrant crises" has shown that empathy is in short supply.
